ALL ABOUT MRS BOGHETICH
Hi! I'm Blair Boghetich. I was born and raised in the Park Cities. I attended UP, MIS, and I graduated from Highland Park in 1999. In 2004, after a completing my student teaching in England, I returned to the states and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!!!). After graduation, I returned home to Dallas, where I began my teaching career. My first three years of teaching were with Mesquite ISD, where I taught 5th grade math and science, then moved down to 4th grade. In 2012, I completed my Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on science and technology at SMU, becoming the 8th member of my family to become a Mustang alum! This will be my 8th year at Hyer teaching 4th grade and I have loved every minute of being a Husky!
Not only did I gain a lot of experience in college and abroad, but I also spent 15 summers on the shores of Inks Lake at Camp Longhorn. Among the many jobs I had at camp, one of my favorites was being a head staff counselor and being "Miss Sail." I loved teaching girls how to become great counselors and campers how to sail. Those experiences solidified my desire to teach and be around kids. The lessons that I learned at Camp Longhorn have stayed with me and I use many of those "tricks of the trade" in the classroom.
When I am NOT working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, going to the lake, playing golf, cheering for the Crimson Tide, and watching terrible reality TV.
My mom still lives in the Park Cities and is currently the Executive Director at Godwin Lewis, P.C. My younger sister, Paige, is working as an interior decorator/construction manager with Yours By Design, and Travis, my husband, is in-house counsel for a real-estate development company, Centurion American. Travis and I have two sons, Samuel, who will be three in November and James, our newborn.
I am so excited to get to know your kids and families this year! I look forward to another fantastic year at Hyer!
